DME Engine Driver Is on the App Store — Plus What's New for Dispatch and POD

We just published DME Engine Driver on the Apple App Store — a native iPhone app for delivery drivers at DME companies that use DME Engine. Alongside that release, the last several weeks of product work tightened proof of delivery, dispatch maps, mobile driver workflows, and inventory day-to-day.

Drivers sign in with a company code, open today's route, work open orders, scan items, add delivery comments, capture a signature at complete, and keep the office truck map in sync while the app is open. It is built for employees of a DME company — not a consumer storefront.

Stronger proof of delivery

Signatures already mattered for audit-ready POD. Drivers can now optionally add delivery POD photos when they complete a stop. Those photos show up on Desktop View Order when the driver finishes — so billing and compliance can pull signature + photo evidence from the same order record.

If you are still paper-heavy on tickets, this is the gap that usually shows up in RAC / UPIC / agency reviews: the delivery happened, but the documentation trail is incomplete. Digital signature plus optional photo capture closes that loop in the field.

Driver mobile UX that matches the truck

Recent mobile updates focus on speed and fewer callbacks to the office:

• Ticket # on My route cards and the order view (so drivers and dispatch talk about the same ID)
• Tap-to-dial on order phones, with call logging
• Field Adds for delivery and pickup lines when something needs to be added at the door
• Asset # Validate required for unique pickup lines (so serialized pickups are intentional)
• Company setting to hide the Office Page button for drivers who should stay on the route screen

Dispatch map and workload

Office dispatch got quieter, more accurate map behavior:

• Payor name in the map order info window
• Truck pin and chip colors from each truck's assigned color
• Smarter Trk / Seq sorting and drag-drop resequence on the visible truck route
• Driver-completed stops drop off Open / active pins
• Workload report excludes pickup tickets from the delivery load-out view
• Map queries bound by date so large fleets stay responsive

Inventory, purchasing, and kits

Warehouse and purchasing work landed in the same stretch:

• Item Lookup — where an item is, and which PO it came from
• Receive purchase-order lines into inventory (with guards against double-receive)
• Clearer serial-number dialogs and shared-stock receipt ledger
• Manage Kits UI and APIs
• Tenant Supply module toggle for Desktop
• Barcode labels that print a short item description under the bars

Order and patient workflow polish

Smaller changes that remove daily friction: autosave on delivery line progress with return to the patient after save; clearer void-order confirmation; ticket preview in the page instead of a blank download; address coordinate updates that push onto live orders so the map stops inventing positions.
